WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Concrete pavement repairs are underway in Wausau.
City crews will close West Street between S 12th Avenue and S 17th Avenue near the Kwik Trip on Wednesday while they remove and replace deteriorated concrete. Drivers in that area are asked to use alternate routes while work is completed.
This comes after crews cut into Scott Street and 5th Avenue to repair deteriorated concrete pavement near the Grand Theater and Marathon Bank. Traffic in those areas will be narrowed to one lane on a rotating basis.
Work on both projects is expected to be completed in two weeks.
Crews are also working on Stewart Avenue where a complete street reconstruction project is underway between 48th and 72nd Avenue. That work will involve periodic lane closures through the summer while crews replace water and sewer lines and construct a pedestrian trail along the side of the road.
