MADISON, WI (WSAU) – Former Wisconsin Badgers star A.J. Storr is being accused of planning to leave the program before the men’s basketball season had ended.
According to Badger Stripes, Storr’s representatives were already negotiating with other schools, such as Illinois, in February after Storr started the season off hot, leading the Badgers in scoring. The outlet reports that Illinois and Storr did reach a deal earlier this year before Kansas outbid Illinois this month to officially land Storr.
Greg Gard talks about NIL and the transfer portal as well as Chucky and AJ leaving.

Schools are prohibited from participating in NIL discussions directly and it was reported that Storr requested a $1 million transfer fee before committing to the Jayhawks. In response, Kansas offered $750,000 but the exact cost that was agreed to in the end is unknown.
